We had a fabulous time at the Artwalk! If you haven’t checked out Valley View Mall in a while, I urge you to get on over there for their 3rd Saturday Artwalk! It runs 6-10p, with music, wine, snacks, and best of all – you get to mingle with the artists!
Every month they choose an nonprofit to be the beneficiary of the walk, and the Holy Cross Community Garden was chosen for October. Between what the artists donated and what we sold from our booth, we have collected more than $400!
Thanks to everyone who helped make this event so much fun – Marilyn Simmons, Xrisi Soderquist, Pat and Steve Montoux, and Ed and Ian Percy!
But there’s more…
On Sunday October 26th from 2-4p we will be in the garden selling heirloom crinum bulbs. Marilyn and Donelle Simmons, the FarmGirls of Garden Inspirations, will be on hand with aerated compost tea for sale as well!
This will also give you the opportunity to see the progress being made moving the portable. I took a peek today and they have separated the building down the center beam and shrink-wrapped it, so I do believe it will be gone soon.
